Small businesses in Adelaide’s South will now be able to access support through a new advisory service.
The $200,000 joint partnership between the State Government and the City of Marion will be located within the Tonsley precinct and will provide an important first point of contact for existing small business owners and people considering starting a business
The Tonsley Small Business Advisory Service will provide essential business planning, finance, legal, marketing and staffing advice to ensure small businesses have the tools and the skills to flourish in the marketplace.
It will also add to the strong entrepreneurial focus of the Tonsley precinct and to the services currently offered by the Tonsley Co-HAB working space and Flinders University’s New Venture Institute.
Small businesses will be able to access up to three hours of free advice through the Service.
City of Marion Mayor Kris Hanna said the Tonsley Small Business Advisory Service will be a valuable tool for new and existing operators in the region.
“This is a great example of Marion Council and the State Government collaborating to support economic development in our part of Adelaide,” Mayor Hanna said.
“The service will be there to help more than 4600 small businesses in our area as well as people who wish to start up a new business.”
Small business owners in the southern Adelaide region can make a confidential appointment with the Tonsley Small Business Advisory Service by calling Bob Sloan on (08) 8374 2844 or emailing [email protected].
