Tonsley based Specialised Solutions is working with a group of SA businesses to design and manufacture nine temporary COVID-19 treatment units for the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Premier Steven Marshall recently launched the project which will increase the number of children the hospital can assess and treat, while limiting potential spread of infection to patients and staff. Fitted with standard emergency equipment and connected to the hospital’s Emergency Extended Care Unit via an external corridor, the modular units cost $900,000 and were funded by the Federal Government.
Leading the way in the revival of South Australian design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities, Specialised Solutions worked with other local businesses Mossop Construction & Interiors, Detail Studio, Lucid Consulting Australia, BCA Engineers, Robert Bird Group, Rider Levett Bucknall and BuildSurv to design, build and install the units in just four weeks.
An industry leader in prefabricated modular structures, Specialised Solutions is one of South Australia’s most experienced and trusted specialists for state of the art, innovative and dependable engineering solutions.
