World-class medical device company at Tonsley

Signostics Limited is relocating its Thebarton operations and 15 staff to Tonsley at the end of this month to become part of South Australia’s advanced manufacturing future.

Based in the administration building in the first instance, the company will then move to Tonsley’s Main Assembly Building (MAB ) in the second half of 2015.

The company, a global innovator in the medical device sector, will be closer to Flinders Medical Centre and the new Flinders University School of Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics, Medical Device Research Institute and its commercialisation agent, Flinders Partners.

“We are committed to helping make Tonsley a national centre for the development of medical device technologies and look forward to working closely with the research providers on site to grow the industry in South Australia,” said Warren Ortmann, CEO of Signostics Limited.

“Tonsley will be a great place to collaborate and commercialise new products and expand our company’s potential.”

The establishment of a medical device precinct at Tonsley will create enormous potential for research and development, and importantly, will create new jobs within the state.
