Why Governance Matters: An analysis on how innovation districts “Organize for Success”

Innovation districts are local communities adjacent to R&D institutions and universities that are seeking to leverage R&D strengths and assets into new kinds of growth.  Tonsley Innovation District is an emerging leader on the global stage, aspiring to deliver strong levels of commercialisation across multiple sectors to lead to a more resilient and prosperous state economy.

Over the past year, the District has been working with The Global Institute on Innovation Districts (GIID) as part of its Global Network, on how to organise in ways that grow our community, while at the same time advancing highly complex research in fields such as clean technologies and renewable energy, health, medical devices and assistive technologies, mining and energy services and automation, software and simulation.

Today, GIID is releasing important research that informs what we are doing: Why Governance Matters: An analysis on how innovation districts “Organize for Success”.
