Twenty new entry-level apartments have been listed for sale just metres from Tonsley Innovation District’s thriving Main Assembly Building, offering home buyers an unprecedented opportunity to experience contemporary living within one of the state’s largest employment precincts.
The latest cluster of Vertex Apartments, delivered by Peet Limited within its Tonsley Village residential community, went on presale on Saturday, with construction of the sleek four-storey development to commence later this year.
All apartments are being sold at a fixed price with one-bedroom apartments starting from $367,000 and two-bedroom apartments from $457,000. Eight apartments will also be made available through the Home Seeker program, presenting multiple pathways for prospective homebuyers to secure a home at an affordable price point.
Architecturally designed, the apartments offer a blend of industrial-chic aesthetics – a nod to Tonsley’s saw-tooth roofline – quality and convenience. Living spaces have direct access to balconies or courtyards, creating open and airy connections with the outdoors. The apartments also come with high-quality finishes and secure car parking.
The apartment building will be the third of four in the Vertex series to be constructed along MAB Circuit, adjacent to a planned multi-million-dollar retail and wellness precinct forecast to open in early 2025. The precinct will include a supermarket, restaurant and gym, along with a highly anticipated offering from Little Bang Brewing at Tonsley’s old Boiler House – the long-time engine room of the site’s former car manufacturing plant.
Peet Limited Managing Director and Chief Executive Brendan Gore said the Vertex Apartments would be a place where modern living met the vibrancy of a growing Tonsley Innovation District.
“Value and quality are central to Tonsley Village and the release of the new Vertex Apartments offers modern designs at an affordable price. The footprint and designs are different to traditional apartments, reaching four storeys tall, and feature Tonsley’s industrial feel,” Mr Gore said.
Renewal SA Tonsley Project Director Vince Rigter said it was an exciting time to move to Tonsley.
“New residents will find themselves at the heart of a dynamic community with endless possibilities,” Mr Rigter said. “Not only will they have a vibrant social scene on their doorstep, they can also take advantage of the connectivity that Tonsley offers. If they work in the District, they are mere footsteps from the office; if they work in the city, it is just a short walk to Tonsley Railway Station; Flinders University and Flinders Medical Centre are minutes by train in the other direction; and the beaches and wineries of the Fleurieu Peninsula are a short drive.
“Tonsley offers a complete lifestyle.”
Tonsley Village is already home to 536 residents. At project completion more than 1,800 people will call Tonsley home.
The sold-out Vertex 1 and 2 apartments are currently under construction and are scheduled for completion by mid next year. Building works for the third building will commence in November, while the apartments with fourth and final Vertex building will go up for sale in August.
