Renewal SA Acting Chief Executive Mark Devine confirmed there had been an emergency incident in the Main Assembly Building (MAB) at the Tonsley Innovation District today.
He said Metropolitan Fire Service crews attended and were investigating the cause of the incident with other authorities.
Mr Devine said two people, who were sub-contracted by a private company which owns electrical assets at Tonsley, were injured in the incident. They were treated at the scene by SA Ambulance Service then taken to hospital for further treatment.
“Our thoughts are with the two injured people and their families.”
Mr Devine said power would be restored to the Main Assembly Building as soon as it was safe to do so.
He said emergency alarms in the MAB were activated by the incident immediately and the building was evacuated.

Renewal SA Acting Chief Executive Mark Devine said power was restored to most of the tenants at Tonsley Innovation District at 5.00pm today, following an emergency incident earlier in the day in the Main Assembly Building (MAB).
Temporary measures are being taken to provide power to four tenants in the building while work continues to fully restore the main supply.
All measures have been taken to ensure the safety of all who work at and visit Tonsley.
