A magnet for talent

For international students, the opportunity to pursue their tertiary studies within the Tonsley Innovation District can open a world of new possibilities and life-changing experiences.  With academic campuses on site, the district is a magnet for talent that brings together STEM innovators of the future and established and emerging leaders in the field.

As part of their learning and professional development, students and graduates based at Tonsley only need to step outside a lecture hall or laboratory to see their future careers in action and connect with potential mentors and potential employers.   The competitive advantage of co-location goes both ways, as tenants have access to a pool of qualified and specialised graduates, who can support them to grow their business.

On Tuesday 23 May 2023, the district welcomed StudyAdelaide who were hosting a group of 30 interstate agent partners on their working visit to Adelaide.  The Tonsley component of their itinerary included a visit the Flinders’ Engineering Faculty with a tour of the lab pod and a robotics demonstration.  The agent partners also enjoyed a networking lunch held in the Main Assembly Building, meeting with current international students, engineering international student alumni, academics and student ambassadors.  This was an opportunity to learn, and see first-hand, the advantages and unique opportunities that studying within the Tonsley Innovation District can offer.
