The Squash57 Corporate Cup wrapped up on Thursday 22 June with Collectiv (T8) winning the grand final against The Battery Pack team.
James Rogers, Development Manager from Squash SA commented “This was the first time the Tonsley Corporate Cup was run under the Squash 57 (formerly known as racquetball) format and the players all reacted positively. The bouncier ball really levelled the playing field and created a great networking and social environment for all the individuals and businesses involved. From a Squash SA point of view, it was great to look out our office window and see the improvements new players were making as the comp progressed. Special thanks to Renewal SA for their sponsorship to cover the shirt costs.”
Trevor Burnett, Chief Operating Officer of Collectiv Group and also Team Captain of the winning team, commented “This was the first time I’ve been involved in the Tonsley Squash57 Corporate Cup. I hadn’t picked up a racquet since I was at school and 2 of our team members hadn’t played before, so we didn’t have any expectations of being too competitive. It was great just to have a hit and get some exercise after work but it was amazing to see the improvement across all teams throughout the competition.
I’d recommend the competition to anyone working at Tonsley. It’s a great way to meet people from other Tonsley businesses in an informal setting and get out and work on your fitness.
Thanks to Renewal SA and Squash SA for organising and sponsoring the competition. I can’t wait for next year”.
Thank you to all teams for participating in this years tournament and a big congratulations to the winners Collective (T8).
