Tonsley launches new website

Earlier this month, Tonsley launched a new website that includes a range of features to help promote the Tonsley brand as development on the innovation district continues.

Below is a list of some of the new features and content that you can explore:

The redevelopment of Tonsley from a car manufacturing plant to a 61-hectare vibrant and thriving innovation district has required a clear vision and set of guiding principles. This ensures that over the 20-year development project, which commenced in 2012, that Tonsley maintains its position as South Australia’s hub of high-value manufacturing and a leading example of adaptive reuse and industrial transformation.

The Vision page on the new website explains why it was important for Tonsley to become a beacon of high-value manufacturing. It includes an interactive model that details how bringing together industry, research and government on one site was crucial to deliver this vision.

The Focus Sectors page delves further into Tonsley’s manufacturing ethos by exploring the four industry sectors that are a key focus for the district:

• Cleantech and renewable energy
• Health, medical devices and assistive technologies
• Mining and energy services
• Automation, software and simulation.

The Masterplan page uses an interactive map to show how Tonsley utilises a number of land uses, across high-value industry and commercial, education and training, retail and residential to create an active and sustainable innovation district.

Today, there are over 1,700 people working at Tonsley from more than 35 businesses and 290 co-working members. Being able to explore these organisations using the Our community business directory is one of the exciting new additions to the website.

You can now search for businesses using the search bar or filters, find out more about each of them, check out some of their latest news and case studies, and get contact details and directions to their premises.

Tonsley has a range of commercial accommodation options that are currently available or will be available in the future as development on the site continues.

You can now explore these options using the new interactive map in the Join Tonsley section of the website. Clicking on the accommodation options that are available now or coming soon will allow you to see more detail about the allotment or tenancy and will give you the chance to submit an enquiry form to register your interest.
