2024 marks the end of five years of STEM Works tours at Tonsley Innovation District.
During this time more than 100 tours for nearly 3,000 visitors, including students and professionals were delivered.
90 tours were attended by schools, providing 2,750 students with the opportunity to explore and discover the STEM careers of the future.
These students came from all corners of South Australia, ranging from Mount Gambier on the Victorian border, Kangaroo Island off the mainland, to Cowell on the Eyre Peninsula. Key to the success of the tours was the support and active participation of Tonsley tenants, in particular Micro-X, the Global Centre for Modern Ageing, ZEISS, BAE Systems and Flinders University.
A big thanks goes out to all the Tonsley tenants and partner organisations that supported this important work to deliver training and employment initiatives for South Australians.
