Future Energy Week sells out!
The third annual Future Energy Week Conference took place at Tonsley Innovation District on the 8 & 9 November, with various aligned networking events running throughout the week. The conference was sold out over the two full days and was another fantastic opportunity to bring together thought leaders and showcase the latest innovations in energy and mobility.
With 56 speakers, 17 partners and sponsors, 27 keynote addresses, 10 panel sessions, over 150 attendees per day and almost 150 students touring the Tonsley Innovation District as part of the Future Energy Taster it sure was a huge success!
Over the course of the event, attendees were treated to seminars about future green technologies, SA’s transition to clean energy to opportunities in the circular economy. A series of interactive panel discussions worked to engage the audience on key topics along with a series of expo demonstrations including; Flinders University’s Automotive Solar Car, Tesla’s Model Y car, Infinitus Aero’s electric plane and Adelaide Metro’s Hydrogen fuelled bus.
Guests also heard from Federal Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen; South Australian Minister for Energy and Mining Tom Koutsantonis; and South Australian Deputy Premier Susan Close about the latest policies, legislation and initiatives such as Hydrogen Jobs Plan, Hydrogen Renewable Energy Act and Northern Water.
Thank you to everyone involved for putting on another enjoyable and informative event.

"As event founder and director, it is so rewarding seeing people making meaningful connections and being able to spur one another on in our collective efforts to accelerate the clean energy transition. We were inspired as we heard about some great things happening in our state, but also challenged about the problems we still need to solve. The important takeaway was we can navigate this together and collaboration is the key to making meaningful progress. It still amazes me how many incredible people we have in this growing ‘Future Energy’ community and I’m so thankful to the committed members of the Tonsley Future Energy Consortium and event partners for the support that enabled this event idea to become a reality. My hope is that this event continues to increase in reach and truly becomes a week for the entire state to come together and propel strong clean energy leadership and make a lasting impact on the energy future for generations to come."
